Dress Code
The district’s dress code is established to teach grooming, hygiene, prevent disruption and minimize safety hazards. Students and parents may determine a student’s personal dress and grooming standards, provided they comply with the following at Jose J. Alderete.
- IDs are to be worn and displayed around the student's neck at all times. Students will be provided a lanyard specific for grade level. (If lost ID $10.00 lanyard $5.00)
TOPS:
Monday - Friday
- Alderte MS t-shirt with logo in either gray or burnt orange.
- Oversized tops or with fraying or holes are not permitted.
TOPS:
Outwear/ Hoodies
- Pullover hoodies-only solid gray, orange or white with or without AMS logo
- Zip up sweaters- only solid gray, white or orange with or without AMS logo
- Any other color hoodies/zip-ups will be asked to be removed
TOPS:
Monday (optional)
Purple-Up for Military Children with blue jeans or blue denim shorts.
TOPS:
Friday (optional)

Spirit Fridays-may wear a CHS, NECHS, AMS club, or College or University tee/hoodie.
BOTTOMS:

Oversized bottoms, sagging garments, and bottoms with fraying or holes are not permitted.
FOOTWEAR:
- Closed-toe, closed heel, rubber-sole athletic shoes.
- NO Crocs, Birkenstocks, sandals, flip-flops, slides, or slippers allowed.
